    Home-cooked Scottish dishes with some family favourites thrown in. Open to residents and non-residents. Booking is essential.

    Sourced from local ingredients where possible, to start, choose from a selection of smoked seafood or a traditional Lentil or Tattie soup. For your main, we offer traditional fish & chips using Scrabster landed haddock in a beer batter served with our hand-cut triple cooked chips to a traditional Haggis, Tatties and Neeps with a Whisky Pepper & Mustard sauce, plus many more dishes and specials to suit all tastes.

    To finish, we have a delicious choice of sweet desserts, Scottish cheeses, and a selection of after dinner tipples made by our local distilleries.

    In our lounge bar area you can sample local beers from John O Groats & Orkney Breweries. Gins, Rum and Vodkas from Dunnet Bay Distillery and North Point, or choose from our varied list of Scottish Malt whiskies featuring many of our local distilleries such as Wolfburn, Old Pulteney, 8 Doors or a Scapa or Highland park from over the Pentland Firth in Orkney.

    New for 2024 is our exciting ‘pop up’ restaurant featuring cuisinier Chris Duckham from Cote Du Nord. A taste exploration not to be missed, showcasing local ingredients as you wouldn’t expect them to be done, over an 7-9 course tasting experience and associated matching wine flight.
